I love Pinterest.  And I love looking at cakes on Pinterest.  I mean, how you could you not with cakes like this popping up on your feed.  P.S.  Just click the picture and it will take you to the original source.

And I need someone, anyone I know, to host a party involving forest creatures.  Pronto.  

And I am insanely jealous of anyone who can pipe buttercream.  I am severely limited to borders and...that's about it.  Aren't the colors beautiful?

I got to try a new technique for a birthday cake this week.  I definitely need to work on the tie-dye effect.  It feels more patch work and less tie-dye.  But it totally isn't bad for my first attempt.  If I break out in any more 80s lingo, I apologize.  Feeling very nostalgic over side ponytails and jellies over here.  

Our neighbor just turned 11 and she is having an 80s themed roller skating party this weekend. Her mom and I combined two different cakes we found for this righteous (and very neon) confection.

Hope she has an awesomely tubular time tomorrow!
