A Totally Rad 80s Birthday Cake

I got to try a new technique for a birthday cake this week.  I definitely need to work on the tie-dye effect.  It feels more patch work and less tie-dye.  But it totally isn't bad for my first attempt.  If I break out in any more 80s lingo, I apologize.  Feeling very nostalgic over side ponytails and jellies over here.  

Our neighbor just turned 11 and she is having an 80s themed roller skating party this weekend. Her mom and I combined two different cakes we found for this righteous (and very neon) confection.
