My absolutely amazing (step) mother in-law turned sixty this past weekend.  Initial plans were drinks and appetizers at the club they belong to.  Obviously, I couldn't go without making a cake.

Triangle Custom Creations made another wonderful acrylic topper for me and I let the kids pick out the flavors.  My son has recently become obsessed with Neapolitan ice cream and so we have tiers of strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate. 

And I also got to deliver the tallest cake that I have ever made.  Coming in at 15 layers of cake, this wedding cake was delivered to an adorable venue, the Rand Bryan house, in Garner NC

I can't believe we are in June already!!!  First grade conquered for one and another year of preschool down for my youngest.  The house is full of chapter books because my son has to read everything in sight, paper airplanes because they are so cool, and every scrap piece of paper has my daughter's name scribbled on it because she is starting to spell words.

I'm over in the corner trying to hold it together and keeping myself busy with cakes in the process.
