The Baking Pixie

Hello!  

My name is Heather Nadeau and I am the Baking Pixie.  I'm a stay-at-home mom, volunteer, and home hobby baker in Cary, NC.  I have a son in eighth grade and a daughter taking over fifth grade!

My History

I didn't get serious about baking until after I got married.  I started on my mom's recipes that she passed down.  And then, when my husband decided to go back to school, I did too.  I entered pastry school and was overwhelmed.  Between a full time job where I traveled, and finding out I was pregnant with our first child, I decided to tackle the baking world on my own.

Over the years, my blog went from trying out new recipes to cake decorating.  I'm not really sure where the transition even started but I am so glad it did.  So now I use my Graphics degree, my little bit of pastry school experience, and my love of sweets to bake for family and others to enjoy.
