This weekend was a lot of work. But I had a blast! First up was a Disney Octonauts cake. My kids LOVED watching that show so it was nice to reminisce. I also got to work on a Disney Descendants cake. I felt stuck in the middle this weekend. My kids say they are too old for Octonauts up there but they aren't old enough yet for the Descendents movies. We are officially stuck on the animated princess/ninja phases of childhood here. For this cake we combined different ideas. The cake below, unfortunately, has a broken link. It's GORGEOUS and I have no clue who made it. But instead of the gold seashell crown, we wanted Uma's hat and no fondant. Here is what we came up with. And it just dawned on me that Disney has a tentacle problem.
The last super fun cake was a Harry Potter spell book for a young neighbor of mine. I absolutely LOVE that Harry Potter is still so popular. My husband and I love the books and movies. My favorite necklace is a golden snitch. And now my 6 year old has discovered the Fantastic Beasts illustrated book. It makes my inner nerdy heart smile.

This past week I got to make a gigantic 10" Hot wheels cake complete with a loop and a tunnel! I can't wait to see the pictures from this party! It took everything I had not to borrow my kids' toys to see how it looked in action!
