A New Decade

I can't believe 2020 is here and we are already a month in!!  January has been busy and exciting and I got to make some pretty awesome cakes already.  

First up, the smallest Pixie in the house turned 6 this month.  Her request?  "A harbor seal on his side in water please.  And I want his little flippers holding the 6".  You got it, Baby Pixie.  

The next cake happens to belong to a little guy who turned 6 the day after my baby.  I have been making his cake for 4 years now!

But no offense to either of the birthday kids, this next cake was really cool to make. I was contacted by a neighbor of mine who works for NC State just minutes down the road.  A colleague of hers was retiring after 36 years on the campus.  Part of the cake was foam as there were other desserts at the ceremony.  But I got to delivery this behemoth on Friday.  *cough cough* Let's not mention how long it has been since I have been on a college campus okay?
