The cake below was made by combining two cake ideas. The grandma-to-be wanted the baby's name included so I grabbed a famous song lyric from the movie to incorporate a sweet message in. My fav part? The baby rattle!  The mermaid loving girl wanted all things pink, purple and gold here.

I took a little time off for a big project and I can not wait to share with you soon! But until I can, back to cakes it is. I LOVE mushrooms. I have them around the house and even have socks with mushrooms on them. Making this cake just made me so so happy.  And I have only seen this movie once. My daughter...I think we are up to five or six times. But the music is ADDICTING. I'm happy with the bird and flower pot. And I am good with the painting on the tiger. But I do wish I spent more time on the shape of the face. Perfectionism aside, the bday girl loved it.  |
